I'm Nancy Lola Fox, a UK-based animator, filmmaker, and screenwriter.

I graduated from The BRIT School's Film & Media Production course with a distinction (2019–2023) and have just completed my bachelor's degree in Animation and Media at the University for the Creative Arts (2023–2026).

I primarily focus on live-action and animation-blended documentaries, aiming to tell comedic yet authentic and emotional stories with a distinctly British sensibility. I use mixed-media animation - a blend of photography, collage, and analogue techniques - to punctuate the emotion featured in the documentary. This modern, unique approach to storytelling grabs the attention of a younger audience and translates exceptionally well to short-form content on social media.

Notably, my animations were featured in the documentary Switchboard Logbooks, which was displayed at Queer Britain: The National LGBTQ+ Museum.

While at university, I founded and continue to run an art magazine called The Lamb, which gives emerging student artists a platform to showcase their work. This project has connected me to a vast network of institutions, and has been warmly embraced by students from Central Saint Martins, NFTS, and the Royal College of Art. The Lamb has become widely known for its motto: "Art is all around us, how wonderful!"

With so much incredible content being created today, it brings me immense joy to be part of this industry, particularly within the documentary world. A story is only as good as the people telling it, which is why I find it so inspiring to be part of such a vibrant, expansive network of artists.
